What Is Actually Protecting You

1 · Shoulder armour Removable certified protectors in both shoulders, with external sliders on the outside taking the abrasion.

2 · Elbow armour Removable certified protectors, shaped so they stay over the joint when you are tucked in.

3 · Knee armour Removable certified protectors sitting behind the outer knee panel.

4 · Hip padding Foam padding over the hip, the first thing down in a low-side.

5 · External DFS sliders Dynamic Friction Shield pucks on knee and shoulder with dual-density foam behind them. They take the hit, not your suit.

6 · Vented aero hump Aero-profiled and vented for stability and airflow at speed.

7 · Back protector Full-length removable back protector down the spine, included as standard.

8 · Stretch panels Poly-textile accordion panels at the back, elbows, crotch, underarms, calves and behind the knees, so the suit moves with you.

Armour Class — Level 1 Or Level 2?

You choose this above, and it is worth understanding before you do. Level 1 and Level 2 describe how much impact force a protector lets through. In the same standardised impact test, a Level 2 protector must transmit no more than half the force of a Level 1.

Level 1

Thinner and more flexible. Comfortable for road riding and general track days where the organiser does not specify a level. The lighter, less bulky option.

Level 2

Higher impact protection — half the transmitted force. Slightly thicker and firmer. Choose this for racing, fast track days, or if your club or licence requires it.

Many track-day organisers and race licences specify a minimum level for back protection — check your club's rules before you book. Every protector in this suit is removable, so the suit can be washed and the armour swapped.

A race suit should fit snug and precise — and no size chart beats your own measurements. We recommend made-to-measure for every rider. It costs nothing extra and removes sizing guesswork completely. If ordering a standard size, measure your chest, waist and height with a tape first and cross-check the chart carefully.

How To Measure — Where Each Number Comes From

The numbers below match the size chart exactly. Wear thin clothing, stand relaxed, and have someone else hold the tape if you can. Snug, not tight.

1Chest — around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, tape level all the way round, arms down.

2Waist — around your natural waist, where your body bends side to side. Do not pull it in.

3Hip — around the widest part of the seat, feet together.

4Full Length — from the top of the shoulder straight down to the ankle bone, standing upright.

5Shoulder — across the top of one shoulder only, from the neck seam out to the shoulder point.

6Collar Round — around the base of the neck with one finger of slack under the tape.

7Sleeve Length — from the shoulder point to the wrist bone, arm slightly bent.

8Inseam — from the crotch straight down the inside of the leg to the ankle bone.

9Thigh — around the fullest part of the thigh, just below the crotch.

10Knee — around the middle of the knee with the leg straight.

11Ankle — around the ankle bone, over the sock you actually ride in.

12Crotch — from the centre front waist, down under the body, up to the centre back waist.

Care & Important Notes

Leather Care: Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth and condition periodically. Never machine wash the suit — the internal mesh lining is removable and washable separately.

Removable Armour: All internal protectors are removable for comfort and cleaning.

Ordering With Confidence — Returns, Refunds & Cancelling

Spending this much with a brand you have not bought from before deserves a straight answer, so here it is in full — including the part most made-to-measure sellers leave out.

📦Stock sizes — 30 days to change your mind

Ordered a standard size and it is not for you? Return or exchange it within 30 days of delivery. It needs to be unworn, with tags, liners and armour still attached, in its original packaging. Email us first for a return reference. Return postage is yours on a change-of-mind return.

📏Made-to-measure — read this before you order

A made-to-measure suit cannot be returned because you changed your mind, and that includes the case where the measurements you gave us do not fit the way you expected. Your leather is cut to your numbers and cannot be sold to anyone else. This is why we ask you to measure twice, use the guided form, and talk to us if anything is unclear. We would rather answer ten questions than build the wrong suit.

🛠️If we build it wrong, we fix it — free

If the suit does not match the specification you gave us, we remake it or refund it at no cost to you. And if anything arrives faulty, damaged in transit or simply not what you ordered, we pay the return postage and you choose — repair, replacement or refund. That applies to made-to-measure exactly as it does to stock sizes. Please tell us within 48 hours of delivery if something arrives damaged, so we can lodge the carrier claim and get a replacement moving — that is our preferred notification window, not a deadline on your rights.

✋Changed your mind before we start?

Stock items can be cancelled any time before dispatch for a full refund. A made-to-measure order can be cancelled within 24 hours for a full refund. After that, but before we cut material, it can be cancelled with a 25% deduction. Once the leather is cut to your measurements it cannot be cancelled — there is nothing left to resell.

💳How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days of us receiving and inspecting the item, back to the card or account you paid with.

🌏Duties and taxes

Delivering to Australia, the United Kingdom or New Zealand? Motrox pays all customs duties and import taxes — nothing further to pay when it arrives. Everywhere else, any duties and taxes are payable by the buyer on delivery.

Your consumer rights sit on top of all of this. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law — including a replacement or refund for a major failure. Those rights are not limited by any of the time periods above, and they cover made-to-measure goods in full. The full wording is in our Refund Policy.
