Most riders who get hit are hit by someone who says they did not see them. The Outback is built around that one problem first: hi-vis yellow and black, with reflective panels on the front and the rear, so you are visible from in front and from behind — which is where it usually matters.

Underneath the visibility it is a proper touring shell: D-600 Cordura, fully waterproof, with CE certified armour at the shoulders and elbows and a removable back protector. Two front air vents open when it is hot, and Velcro at the neck and wrists plus waist belts pull the fit in so the armour stays where it is meant to sit.

Sizes run S to 4XL, and if none of them is right, choose custom-made and we will build it to your measurements.

Three Jobs A Hi-Vis Jacket Has To Do
1
Be Seen In Daylight
Hi-vis yellow does the work before the headlights come on — in traffic, at dusk, and in the flat grey light that hides a rider in dark gear.
2
Be Seen At Night
Reflective panels front and rear light up under headlights from both directions. A jacket that only reflects from behind is only half a jacket.
3
Then Do The Other Job
A D-600 Cordura shell, fully waterproof, with CE certified armour at the shoulders and elbows and a removable back protector.
Sizes S–4XL off the rack, or choose custom-made and we will cut it to your measurements.
Key Features
Construction · D-600 Cordura · CE Certified Armour · Fully Waterproof
Built from D-600 Cordura, fully waterproof, with CE certified armour at the shoulders and elbows and a removable back protector. It is the armour that carries the certification, not the textile shell.
Hi-Vis Yellow And Black
The colour is the safety feature. It works in daylight, when most riding happens and most reflective material does nothing at all.
Reflective Panels — Front And Rear
Visible under headlights from in front and from behind, not just from the back.
D-600 Cordura Shell
The full-weight touring textile — abrasion resistance without the weight of leather.
CE Certified Armour, Plus A Removable Back Protector
Certified armour at the shoulders and elbows, and a back protector that lifts out when you want it out.
Fully Waterproof
Rain and road spray stay outside. This is a jacket for the wet ride home, not just the dry ride out.
Two Front Air Vents
Open them in summer and the jacket breathes; close them and it seals up again. A waterproof jacket you can still wear in February.
Velcro Neck And Wrist Fastening
Closes at the neck and over or under a glove at the wrist — the two places wind gets in at highway speed.
Waist Belts
Cinch the jacket to your body so it is not flapping, and so the back protector stays over your back instead of riding up.
Seven Pockets
Two Velcro front pockets, two external, one rear and two internal.

⚠️ Our Honest Sizing Advice
Measure your chest at the fullest point, over the layer you actually ride in — a jumper underneath changes the answer. This is textile, and textile does not stretch the way leather does, so if you are between sizes, go up. Armour only works where it is meant to sit, so a jacket loose through the shoulders is not doing its job — and a back protector that has ridden up is protecting the wrong thing. Not sure? Send us your chest measurement before you order and we will confirm the size — or choose custom-made and skip the guesswork.
How To Measure · Take These On Your Body
Measure yourself · Not a jacket you already own
Measurement How To Take It
A · Chest Measure around the fullest part, under the armpits, keeping the tape horizontal.
B · Waist Measure around the natural waist line, inline with the navel, keeping the tape horizontal.
C · Hip Measure around the fullest part of your hips, about 20cm below the waist line, keeping the tape horizontal.
F · Arm length Measure from the shoulder (Humerus) to wrist.

✓ Every figure above is a body measurement in centimetres — measure yourself, not a jacket. The Outback is cut with riding room over these numbers, so do not compare them to a garment laid flat. This listing runs S to 4XL and the guide covers that whole range. Between two rows? Read the sizing note above, or choose custom-made and we will build to your measurements. The same chart lives on our Size Guide page.
Fit, Care & Important Notes
🛡️
Armour: CE certification applies to the armour inserts, not to the jacket shell. The back protector is removable.
🧴
Care: Take the back protector out first, then wipe clean with a soft damp cloth and air dry away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep the hi-vis panels out of prolonged direct sunlight when the jacket is stored — that is what fades them. See our Wash & Care guide for more.
📋
Sizing & Returns: Getting the size right first time is the whole game. Message us your measurements before you order and we will confirm your size. Full terms are in our Refund Policy.
